Steak and Potato Skillet
1 lb sirloin steak, cut into thin strips
1 tsp Signature Spices African Berber Spice
Salt to taste
1 TB oil
2 cups cubed potatoes
2 cups sliced carrots
1/4 cup water
2 cups each sliced mushrooms and onions
1/4 cup olive oil
3 TB Balsamic Vinegar
Rub the Signature Spices African Berber Spice into the steak, salt to taste and
refrigerate up to 24 hours before cooking.
Create a vinaigrette by combining olive oil and vinegar in a small bowl, and set it
aside.
In a large skillet on high heat, coat the pan in oil. Add the steak and quickly cook
until brown. Remove and keep warm. In the same pan add the potatoes, carrots and
water. Bring it to a boil, cover, and then reduce heat to low and simmer for 15
minutes. Add the mushrooms, onions, meat and vinaigrette. Stir and heat for 5
minutes.
