| Recipe ideas for Vindaloo |
|||||||||||||||||||||||
| The 'Vindaloo' originates from the Indian state of Goa, around 200 miles south of Bombay. Goa was originally colonized by the Portuguese who brought their language with them. The word vindaloo comes from a combination of vin for vinegar and aloo from albo, which is Portuguese for garlic. |

| Vindaloo in Goa was and is traditionally made with pork. In restaurants this dish is often very hot and fiery, however this authentic recipe has a very aromatic and subtle taste. |
